Participating with 3G

Participation in the congress is only possible with proof of “3G”.

On 19 March, a new Corona Ordinance came into force in Baden-Württemberg. According to § 14, events such as the Kunsthistorikertag take place under 3G conditions. Due to the extremely high incidence of infection nationwide and also in Stuttgart, we nevertheless urge all participants to test themselves daily.

Please allow extra time for testing and for the corona check with us.

Access to the lecture halls is only permitted with proof of status. The daily status checks take place in the foyer of the Kollegiengebäude 2 (K2), where our corona check stations are located in the immediate vicinity of the entrances. Please have ready

  • EITHER your vaccination or convalescence certificate OR your test certificate
  • an identification document
Proof of status

Please have your vaccination or convalescence certificate ready, ideally digitally via CovPass-App or Coronavirus warning app.

Of course, we also accept any official document (vaccination or convalescence certificate) in paper form as proof.

Vaccinated („Geimpft“): A person is considered fully vaccinated if the final vaccination ( was at least a fortnight ago.

Recovered („Genesen“): A person is considered recovered if they have been diagnosed with Corona infection by a PCR test. This test result must be at least 28 days old and must not date back more than three months.

Test certificate

Please have your proof of test ready.

The negative rapid or PCR test must not be more than 24 hours old at the time of admission.

Rapid tests (antigen tests, also called “Bürgertests”) can usually be carried out free of charge and quickly in the numerous test centres.

A rapid test centre is available in the immediate vicinity of the venue (university, Campus Stadtmitte). Please also use testing facilities near your hotel and in the city area to avoid waiting times at the university rapid test centre. Since many test centres do not open until 9 am, we recommend taking a test the night before.
